WHAT ARE YOU AVOIDING?

We all do it.
We all have areas in our lives that we avoid, deny, gloss over, & going there is confronting.
But NOT going there is why we stay where we are.
It’s through confronting these demons that we gain access to our power, our true freedom, and the potential to live the life we’re really meant for.
1. What are you avoiding acknowledging because it scares you?
2. What thoughts and emotions are you pushing away because they feel too uncomfortable to confront?
3. What are you trying to control to avoid facing your fears?
For all my life, I've had a crappy money mindset. Over time it got worse and worse. It got to the point where I would be triggered just by seeing my bank in the street. Doing online banking was an effort – I had to make myself go into it, go into the pain, go into the hurt & triggers I had somehow grown up with.
And yet, I’ve never been without money. I’ve never had to sleep in a car or in a tent in a public park or under a bridge, unless I chose to.
In each moment of my life, I have had resources. I have never been without money, and yet I would make up these catastrophic future scenarios, predicting an unbearable future if I continued on my current “run rate”.
But now I’ve come to realise two things:
1 – I made it all up ! It was all a fiction. I was never going to run out of money !
2 – I needed to confront this demon and go where I’ve been avoiding. It’s about building my resilience, strengthening my nervous system, and expanding my capacity to embrace, accept, and receive money, & so much more than money too, & let go of the fear and neediness that have held me back in areas of my life.
I know I'm not alone.
This is a muscle build.
So, where are you in denial?
Take small steps. Get closer, step into what you’re avoiding, even if it’s sideways. Move toward your demon, strip it of its power, and take away the meaning you’ve attached to it. Because at the end of the day, it’s just a story we’ve told ourselves.
So with me, it’s about going where I don’t want to, because I know I want what’s on the other side – WHO I become on the other side, just with little manageable daily steps.
We all have these areas of avoidance—places we avoid because of pain, past stories, or bad experiences. But when we avoid them, we also avoid becoming the best versions of ourselves.
So, dig deep and ask yourself: What are you avoiding?
