IS YOUR ENVIRONMENT SUPPORTING YOU ENERGETICALLY?

As I continue my travels across the world, my pop-up office has become a familiar companion.   Recently, I was fortunate enough to explore France over the summer - two weeks in Montpellier, a week in Bordeaux, a week in Nantes, and a month in Paris.

Everywhere I stayed, I made sure there was somewhere to work.  All I needed was a desk, Wi-Fi, and my laptop.  It was a lot of fun, but more than that, it allowed me to discover through trial & error which environments worked for me energetically - and which didn’t.

Now, as I continue my travels in Australia - Bobbi 2.0, with my pop-up office in tow - I’m still figuring out what spaces lift me up.  My Human Design (I’m a Manifesting Generator) says my preferred environment is “Wide Valleys!”

“What on earth does that mean?” I wondered at first.

But as I explore more, I’m learning that it makes sense.  I feel most alive when I can see a wide, open view—especially the sea or the sky - preferably from somewhere high up, looking down on it all.  I thrive in busy, energizing spaces, like a café, where background noise seems to heighten my focus.  On the other hand, I can’t stand working or living in “caves” - enclosed, dark spaces that feel stifling - or in complete silence.

With this growing self-awareness, I’m learning how to engineer environments that bring out the best in me.  It’s a blend of intuition, contemplation, and trial and error.  Right now, I’m writing from Coffs Harbour, NSW, with a window in front of me, overlooking a sparkling blue sea, an endless sky, and lush tropical greenery.  I feel inspired here - my energy feels supported.

Have you ever thought about your environment and how it impacts your energy?

 •       Does it help you thrive, or does it drain you?

 •       Are there small changes you could make to bring in more life and vibrancy?

Maybe it’s as simple as adding a few plants, shifting your desk to face a window, or finding a workspace with more natural light.  Sit with this.  Contemplate it.  Test different arrangements/environments out for yourself.  Small tweaks can create big shifts in how you feel, work, and show up in the world.
